Tina Meier’s Community Presentation on Cyberbullying
Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is happy to welcome Tina Meier, mother of Megan Meier, to come to MRH Middle School and High School on September 11, 2013. Meier will give a community presentation on cyberbullying to the students during the school day and the parents later that evening at 7:00 p.m. The presentation will be held in the MRH Theatre and admission is free.
Tina Meier started the Megan Meier Foundation in honor of her daughter. The mission of the Megan Meier Foundation is to bring awareness and education and to promote positive change to children, parents, and educators in response to the ongoing bullying and cyberbullying in our children’s daily environment.
She will share her personal story about her daughter, Megan Meier, who took her life after a cyberbullying incident. Meier will speak from her experiences on how young adults are faced with peer pressure, the desire to fit in, along with challenging schoolwork.
All parents of any MRH student, as well as the community are encouraged to attend this event.
