ECC’s 100 Acts of Kindness
In January, students at the ECC celebrated the 100th day of school. This year, the 100th day of school happened soon after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. After learning how Martin Luther King Jr. encouraged love and kindness from everyone, the students in Ms. Reside's class challenged themselves to do 100 Acts of Kindness by the 100th Day of school. Parents were asked to "catch" their child being kind at home and send in a note about these different acts of kindness. The students also looked out for acts of kindness performed by their classmates at school. On the 100th Day of school, the students created a list of all of these Acts of Kindness. They were amazed at the size of the list and the actual Acts of Kindness that were listed. The students then discussed how they could continue to be kind throughout the rest of the year.
