New Names and Faces at MRH Elementary

Congratulations to Courtney Mueller (Berzon) and to Courtneay Saylan (Fletcher) who both took the giant leap into matrimony over summer break. We hope it won’t take too long to get used to using your new last names!

We welcome some new faces to our building. Rachel Kimberlin and Tiffany Nashville will join our 2nd grade team. Kerry Cole, Gage Dodson, and Lisa Koester will add to our 4th grade team.  And Megan Wolfslau steps into the 6th grade communication arts position. Robert Davis is our new SSD paraprofessionals. Laura Tetley is the new garden coordinator and Jessica Green joins us as our ESOL teacher. We are very excited to be starting off the new school year with a dynamic infusion of bright and energetic personalities.

What Did We Do Over Summer Break?

What DIDN’T we do? Along with taking some much deserved time out vacationing, catching up on “to-dos” or just relaxing with family and friends, the staff of MRH Elementary has been busy preparing for another great school year. Summer school, Home Visits and curriculum writing kept much of our faculty working hard throughout the summer months. Added to that was an assortment of ongoing professional development: Kagan’s Cooperative Learning, UbD training, math training and conferences, not to mention researching how to make our 6th grade capstone experience even more meaningful. We’ve spent the last few months learning and preparing – now we’re anxious to get this party started!

Elementary Start Time is Bright and Early

Regular and punctual attendance is vital to your child’s success in school in the same way that it will be vital to his or her success in a job. To ensure that positive patterns are being formed, please remember that our students begin the school day promptly at 7:30am.

Please Help Keep Our School Safe

All visitors are asked to report to the front office upon arrival at school. We ask that you sign the visitor’s log at the front desk and pick up a visitor’s pass.
