Elementary School Principal's Page
November 3, 2011
Can you believe it is already November? I hope that everyone enjoyed conferences last week. I have received lots of positive feedback from parents and I was very impressed with the students in the conferences that I attended.
This is a busy weekend at MRHE. Tomorrow is Spirit Day, so please remind your child to dress in school colors or wear their school shirt that the PTO helped provide for our students. Spirit Day is always the first Friday of the month. Tomorrow morning from 7:45-8:15 is also our Parent Coffee in the cafeteria. Tomorrow night is our 2nd annual Spaghetti Dinner & A Movie event. The cost is only $6/adult, $4/child, or $20 for the "Family Meal Deal." The proceeds will go toward our 6th Grade Capstone trip to Chicago. It was a blast last year and the spaghetti was really good! Dinner is served from 5:30-7:00 and the movie begins in the gym at 7:15 p.m. Concessions will be available. We will have a raffle, silent auction, and ceramics, too!
After our carb-load on Friday night, we have a Family Fitness Event at the MS/HS track on Saturday morning from 10:00-12:00 and the cost is $10 per family. The Fitness Event will be an informal 1 mile walk/run around the track. Timed start times will be at 10:15, 10:45, and 11:15. Fitness Stations will be available around the track for self guided workout challenges. There will be complimentary Einstein bagels and FREE dinner card for kids from Boston Market for the first 100 people. The proceeds will go to the Elementary Physical Education department to be used for additional fitness equipment.
