Fifth Grade Students Sponsor The Shoebox Project
During the week of March 13-17, Maplewood Richmond Heights Elementary students and families are invited to participate in a Service Learning Project. Through “The Shoebox Project” students can contribute and donate items for that entire week. This special service learning project was initiated to support families in Perryville, Missouri who were impacted by the recent Category 4 tornado.
The idea behind the Shoebox Project is to take an empty shoebox from around your home and fill it with items you think families impacted by the tornado might need. These items could include: small toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items (toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) If your family would like to participate in the Shoebox Project, please drop off any items and send them in with your child during the week of March 13-17. Items collected will be delivered during Spring Break.
