Getting the Mud Out: Drainage Work Will Shut Down MRH Track for a Week
It doesn't take much rain to send a blanket of mud across the athletic track in front of Maplewood Richmond Heights High School, but that's about to change under a new improvement project which will have a brief impact on those who use the track.
Contractor Byrne & Jones Construction this week is digging a trench to install pipes through which muddy runoff from beneath the bleachers will be diverted away from the track itself. The trench is situated between the bleachers and the outer edge of the track. The construction work will require the track to be closed from Friday, July 28 through the end of the following week.
The drainage work also presented the district an opportunity to put a fresh sealer on the track.
MRH appreciates your patience and support during the downtime.
