Thank you for reaching out regarding public forum. The MRH Board of Education offers an opportunity to submit written comments which the Board secretary will read in order of submission during Regular Open Session meetings held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Public Forum will be listed as an agenda item at the start of each meeting.
Individuals speaking during public forums should not expect an immediate response from the Board to any comments because the Board often will not have sufficient information to respond. If it is appropriate, the President will select either a director or a member of the administration to contact the speaker and respond to your inquiries or comments at a later date.
Students, faculty, and other personnel have certain rights of confidentiality under state and federal law which the District scrupulously protects. Therefore, the Board urges a resident or other speaker who has a complaint or grievance about actions involving an individual student, or an individual member of the administration or faculty of the District, to work with building administration and Central Office administration. This will allow the District to protect the legal rights of these individuals and allow for a more prompt and appropriate resolution of any complaint or grievance.
