Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan
Missouri school districts are not required to make up school hours that are lost or canceled due to exceptional or emergency circumstances (up to 36 hours) if they implement an Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan that is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Legislation allows the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District to create alternative methods of instruction for students and eliminate make-up days for the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District.
