Professional Development
“In a learning organization, leaders are designers, stewards, and teachers. They are responsible for building organizations where people continually expand their abilities to understand complexity, clarity and vision, and improve shared mental models – that is, they are responsible for learning."
– Peter Senge, The Fifth Discipline
The MRH School District is committed to the concept of a professional learning community, an environment respectful of individuals but also dedicated to systemic, collaborative change. The school calendar includes seven release days and seven early dismiss days for collaborative study. In addition, support is available for individuals to attend workshops and conferences that are focused on increasing content knowledge, instructional expertise, and leadership capacity or improving job performance.
