ECC’s Hearts for Ferguson
First grade students in Mrs. Sausele’s classroom at Maplewood Richmond Heights Early Childhood Center have big hearts. Earlier this school year, they learned about a city close to theirs – Ferguson, Missouri. These students wanted to show the children of Ferguson their love and support. So, the students gathered art supplies and created unique hearts with words of encouragement on them. The first grade students did not stop there. They invited their siblings, parents, and friends to make hearts for Ferguson too. The first grade wanted to give as many hearts as they could to the children of Ferguson. These artistic hearts were then delivered to the children by MRH parent, Susie McGaughey.
