MRH Candidates' Forum Set for Next Week

The public is invited to hear from the candidates who have filed to run for the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District Board of Education.

A forum will take place Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in the MRH High School auditorium at 7539 Manchester Road in Maplewood. The municipal election will take place on April 2. Five candidates have filed for two seats.

The MRH school board comprises seven members. Current director Nelson Mitten is stepping down after a two-decade career on the board. Director Brandi Herndon-Miller is re-running for her seat.

Attendees are urged to consider bringing a canned food item for MRH's pantry program, Weekend on Wheels.

(The Hadley Township Democrats organization is sponsoring this forum, but it must be noted that school board elections are non-partisan and the Township is not endorsing any candidate over another.)

For more information, contact MRH School District at (314) 644-4400.
