MRH ECC Character Project Spans Two Years
At MRH Early Childhood Center, students in Stephanie Sausele’s 2nd grade class have been involved in a two-year project called, “It starts with me.” Starting back in 1st grade, students have shown they care for themselves, their families, their school, their cities, their state, their country, their continent, and finally, their world. Projects were student-chosen and included performing random acts of kindness, organizing a book swap, educating others about the buddy bench, making gift bags for the unhoused, and sewing toys for shelter pets.
Next month, students are being honored at a St. Louis Cardinals game as “Champions for Charactecter.”
The class received the following email:
“On behalf of CharacterPlus and the St. Louis Cardinals, Congratulations!
