MRH ECC reentry details from Dr. Hebenstreit

MRH ECC Building Plans:

Dear ECC Parents,

I am writing to share the learning options for ECC K/1/2 students. Currently, our preschool program will remain closed until the community conditions are such that our MRH Board of Education can safely open school in the reduced capacity Tier 2 plan. Details for the Tier 2 re-entry of preschool students will be shared at a future date. To view the K/1/2 ECC Plan, please click on this link: MRH ECC Building Plan

Parents will also find links to our Assistant Superintendent's video presentation with companion slides and the parent survey that we need all parents to complete.

If after reviewing the plans, you have additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 314-568-1257 or click here to email me directly.

Stay safe & Be Well,

Class Assignments Update, July 14, 220

MRH ECC July 2020

MRH ECC Class Assignment Update:

Dear ECC Parents,

I am writing to provide an update on the mailing of class assignments for *Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. 2nd grade students are in the second half of their loop and will remain with their 1st grade teacher.

In an earlier communication, I anticipated that we would be able to send this information to you by July 10th. However, this was not possible due to a number of variables that surfaced during our comprehensive re-entry planning. I anticipate the revised date for mailing class assignments to parents will be Wednesday, July 29th. Soon after parents receive class assignments, teachers will be reaching out to schedule virtual home visits. Second graders that have a new teacher as a result of staffing changes, will also have the opportunity for a virtual home visit.

As a district administrative team, we continue to evaluate guidelines set forth by local and national health agencies as they relate to the various facets of district operations in the climate of COVID19. Additionally, we are studying the evolving research regarding the effectiveness of possible mitigation strategies designed to increase the physical safety of all. The results of our collaborative efforts have informed the district re-entry plan, which will be shared on July 20, 2020 via the district website, email, as well as, through other approved social media venues.

The goal of our plan is to provide an environment that supports both the physical and emotional well-being of children, staff, and parents. It is of the utmost importance to me that we take great care in planning for your child's return and I ask that you reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact at 314-568-1257 or click here to email me directly

Stay safe & Be Well,

Cyndi Hebenstreit, PhD

Principal

*If you are a third grade parent, please disregard this information, as you have already received your child's class assignment. MRH ECC Family Update, June 9, 2020

MRH ECC June 2020

MRH ECC Summer Express Newsletter:

Thank you for all of the wonderful signs along the ECC/Elementary parade route!!

Dear Parents,

I am writing to share that my staff and I, along with district administrators, are working hard to determine how to open school in August with the safety of all in the forefront of our minds. As a district administrative team, we are reviewing guidelines, available research, and studying ways to create safe spaces for children and adults. The district will be communicating information as decisions are made about re-opening via the district website, other approved social media venues, and I will be communicating through the mail, as well as, through Constant Contact newsletters.

Over the weekend or yesterday, K/1/2 report cards and preschool narratives for kindergarten eligible preschoolers should have arrived in the mailbox. Typically, a newsletter is enclosed with these reports with information about opening of school events. Given the current situation, I am not yet able to provide information about when events will occur or exactly what they will look like. Be assured that when we are able to announce our welcome back events with dates and times, I will send comprehensive communications to all of our families.

Class placements for Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade will arrive in the mail by the end of the first full week of July. Third grade class placements should be mailed by the elementary school this Friday, June 12th.

Currently, our office staff is working remotely and only come to the office to complete identified tasks. If you should need to contact my office staff, please call the office number at 314-644-4405 and calls will be forwarded appropriately. You can also reach me directly at 314-568-1257.

Wishing you a healthy & safe summer,

Cyndi Hebenstreit, PhD
