Happy February! I want to thank all the parents for attending their child's Parent/Teacher conference. We hope through conversations with teachers that parents understand where their children are on the learning continuum of reading, writing, and math, as well as, how to help them continue to progress.
MRH ECC Update: February 3 – 6
February 3 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ECC & Elementary Kindergarten through third grade Family Math Night. Play games with your child while learning about the important math behind games such as, Candy Lane, Chutes & Ladders, Trouble, Sorry, etc. Participate in Rekenrek (math rack/ten frame) lessons, explore place value through the math learning carpet and much, much more. Attendance Prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.
February 4 1:25 p.m. Early Dismissal Day for K-12 - Preschool Remains in Session
February 12 First grade Field Trip to Saint Louis Science Center (leaving ECC at 9:15 and returning by noon for 1st grade lunch) A copy of the permission slip is attached.
February 12 6:30 to 7:30 p.m Preschool Parent Meeting
February 12 Deadline for MRH Youth Sports Baseball/Softball Registration
February 12 Turn-in date for Box Tops---This is such an easy way to raise money for ECC
February 13 No School-Professional Development Day
February 16 No School-Presidents’ Day
February 20 Turn in due date for Six Flags Reading Forms
February 20 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Snowflake Ball at ECC
February 21 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m. -Mouse Races to benefit the Middle School Expeditions
The box top turn-in date is almost here. Please send box tops to school by February 12. Remember the class collecting the most box tops per grade level will win a popcorn party at the end of the year. And don’t forget to keep clipping, we will have one more collection in the spring. Thanks for supporting the MRH ECC and keeping MRH Strong.
Mark you calendars for the fourth annual Snowflake Ball which will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. The event will be fun for the entire family including dancing, face painting, crafts and more. Children are encouraged to dress up and have fun. Look for flyers to come home later in the month. All proceeds from the event will benefit Phase II of the Music Room. There will also be volunteer opportunities. If you are interested please contact Sarah Walker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
