MRHE MUSEUM MEMO June 7-10 Hello!

June 7-10

Here we are! We've made it to the final week of this school year. What a year it has been. Before diving into the news for this final week, I want to thank the PTO for organizing such a community-oriented event on Friday. It was SO wonderful to see so many of you in the community, enjoying snow cones...AND EACH OTHER!

We have kept our eye on the ever-changing Missouri forecast this past week, in anticipation for Field Day this upcoming week. We are going to hold our festivities on Wednesday, June 9th. Please send your child(ren) dressed for outdoor play and with their water bottles!

Please stay tuned this summer to emails and social media for news from us! We will be sending grades, next year's class placements, and construction updates!

As a reminder, Thursday, June 10th is our last day of school.

I look forward to hearing all about your summer events from your children in August!

In partnership,

Dr. Thompson

We had strong participation in the first of our two different vaccination clinics. The district is partnering in vaccination events to ensure our entire community has access to the COVID-19 vaccination.

Looking ahead: in partnership with Richmond Heights Fire Department, MRH is hosting a COMMUNITY-WIDE clinic on June 12th at MRH High School. See MRH District Resources for more information.

We wanted to remind parents that all MRH issued laptops, chargers, cases and hotspots will be due at the end of the school year so that we may update software and make any repairs. We will also collect any special accommodation devices that you may have.

If you have any outstanding tech fees these are also due. Lost and damaged chargers are $10.00 for the first occurrence, damaged laptop screens, 25.00. Checks can be made payable to Maplewood Richmond Heights School District.

It is time to begin searching for any library books in the classroom. Check your shelves, your backpacks, under your bed, or wherever your library books may be. There will be no more check-outs this year, and all books are due to the library by Wednesday, June 2. You may return your library books anytime at the library circulation desk, or in one of the blue tubs located in the library hallway and Glades Entrance. Thank you!

As we wrap up this uniquely beautiful school year, we want to thank you for all of the ways you supported your student with learning at home! Together we did it, and together we will keep moving forward!

Encouraging your student to continue reading & thinking like a mathematician this summer has many POSITIVE effects! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Parent/Caregiver Night last week to learn ways to make this happen. Abbreviated slides are available below to guide you or your student with ways to practice & what to focus on this summer.

Please reach out to us for additional questions & brainstorming, and most of all, THANK YOU!!

Happy Summer!
