Buy a Rain Barrel and Support Joe's Place
The good folks down at Schlafly Bottleworks have found a way to recycle materials and help raise funds for Joe’s Place, the innovative home for teenage boys in the MRH School District.
Leftover drums from the brewery’s facility in Maplewood (7260 Southwest Ave.) have been scrubbed clean and are being sold as “rain barrels.” (The barrels need to be modified to make them ready to serve as rain barrels; holes will need to be cut and spigots added.) Rain barrels are a great way to reduce the amount of water being diverted to city sewers, producing an ideal source for free water to use on your lawn or garden. Read more about the benefits of rain barrels here.
The cost is $25 and all proceeds go to support Joe’s Place. It’s your chance to support a local charity and be green. Barrels are available while they last.
