Annual Soul Food Supper Set for Feb. 22
by Lindsey Centers, student, MRH High School
Our annual Soul Food Supper is just around the corner! Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 5:30 PM in the MRH High School Cafeteria for a fun night of soul food, entertainment, and celebration!
The Soul Food Supper brings the entire community together to celebrate black history and tradition. Previous graduate of MRH, Kenyata Tatum, says, “The Soul Food Supper has such a wonderful atmosphere. I really felt like family even though I was amongst many people I didn’t know.”
Anthony Burgess, another previous graduate, looked forward to the event each year because the Soul Food Supper “gave different people of different ethnic backgrounds a chance to grow and experience African American culture together through arts, speakers, and of course soul food.”
If you would like to purchase a ticket, they are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-12. I encourage you to purchase one in advance! They are available at the high school office and the district’s central office, as well.
For more information, contact MRH School District at (314) 644-4400.
