Jonathan Strong to Become New Assistant Principal at MRH Elementary
MRH is very pleased to announce the selection of Jonathan Strong as the new assistant principal at MRH Elementary School. Jonathan will join Jason Adams, the new elementary principal, beginning July 1, 2012.
The District was fortunate to have had many great candidates apply for the assistant principal position. The final group of four participated in a series of reviews by parents, teachers, and administrators culminating with the approval of the Board of Education on March 22, 2012.
Since August 2008, Jonathan has been a literacy coach at Confluence Academy. He has also served as a Title 1 reading instructor and fourth grade teacher at Confluence. Prior to his time there, Jonathan was a third grade teacher at Thurgood Marshall Academy. He holds a B.A. in elementary education from Alabama A&M University and an M.A. in teaching and reading from Webster University. He is also currently completing his administration degree at Webster.
“Jonathan will be a wonderful addition to our district and I assure you that we all are committed to creating a smooth transition for students, parents, and teachers,” said MRH Superintendent Linda Henke. “Please join me in welcoming Jonathan to MRH!”
