MRH Participates in Kids Voting Missouri

MRH Kids Voting Logo When citizens go to the polls on November 6, 2012, MRH students will also be voting in each school through Kids Voting Missouri. An affiliate of Kids Voting USA, Kids Voting Missouri is a grassroots, non-partisan, non-profit citizenship education program for students in grades K-12.

Weeks before the election, students learn about the candidates and issues and importance of becoming an informed citizen. They discuss, debate, learn about decision-making, compromise, majority rule, branches of government, and representative democracy. On Election Day students have the opportunity to vote on many of the same candidates and issues as the adult voters.
