Champions for Kid’s Simple Giving Campaign: An MRH Partnership
Champions for Kids is an organization started in 2004 whose mission is to make it simple to give kids in need the resources they need to thrive. Resources include shelter, food and nourishment and opportunities for a stable environment.
Champions for Kids started “The Simple Giving Campaign” which allows Walmart shoppers an opportunity to donate hygiene products at their participating local Walmarts. All proceeds go to the students in the community.
From October 30 through November 11, 2013, community members shopping at Walmart will have a chance to donate personal care items (soap, tissues, shampoo, etc.) to students in their district. The designated MRH Walmart is located at 1900 Maplewood Commons Drive, Maplewood, MO 63143.
To donate personal care items look for the purple donation bins inside the store. Those donation bins will be collected by the school district and distributed to children and classrooms in the district. All of the donations will help local students.
By donating items and spreading the word about the campaign to parents and local community groups, you are helping children in your community get the resources they need to thrive.
In the past, districts that heavily promoted the Simple Giving Campaign received over 1,000 donations.
