MRH Hosts National Council for Social Studies Site Visit
On Thursday, November 21, 2013 the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) will be visiting the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District’s campuses as one of their stops at their 2013 Fall Conference. The world-renowned group is holding their annual professional development conference in St. Louis, MO this year. With the theme being Gateway to the Core of Learning, the conference will feature a number of sessions addressing the Common Core ELA Standards for History/Social Studies. The NCSS conference provides classroom-ready resources to help meet the Common Core Standards. As part of this, a visit to MRH has been implemented into the schedule in order for the conference-goers to observe how common core, technology and sustainability play a vital role in the curriculum and everyday activities within District.
