MRH MOJO Students Cover 50th Anniversary of Kennedy Assassination
On November 22, Mobile Journalism (MOJO) students from MRH High School went to the NCSS conference to interview individuals who experienced the JFK assassination first hand. Students recorded the reflections of eleven attendees and gathered valuable journalism skills that can't be learned in the classroom. Mobile Journalism students utilize a "beat on the street" style of journalism using small hand held cameras or iphones. They then transfer the video to their laptops to edit and produce short video segments that are posted on the school's social media channels and website. In February, MRH MOJO will team up with journalism students from Ladue, Francis Howell, and Brentwood to report and cover the Midwest Educational Technology Conference.
