MRH Elementary and Early Childhood Center Offer Rescheduled Parenting Session
MRH Elementary and Early Childhood Center are partnering to present parenting classes through A Place to Turn To, Classes are designed to support parents throughout the parenting process. The first two sessions had to be rescheduled due to weather and low RSVP rates. Those 2 sessions will be offered simultaneously at MRH ECC on the evening of Monday, April 14, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:15 p.m. Dinner and free childcare will be provided.
Session 1: Understanding the Emotional Development of Your Child: The relationship between our thinking and our emotions impacts how we view and react to the world. Understanding our own emotional cues and helping our children identify theirs can help us cope with many troublesome behaviors. Learn how to coach your child through those feelings that can get them into trouble.
Session 2: Managing Technology & Supporting Your Child’s Education: Social networking, texting, cyber bullying . . . children today are faced with possibilities and situations that many adults have never faced. Explore how parents can keep kids safe and set appropriate boundaries in our technological age.
It is very important that you RSVP early to the Elementary office at 314-644-4403 if you plan to attend on April 14th as we want to ensure that these sessions are a GO! Please indicate whether you require dinner and/or free childcare.
