MRH Appoints New Director of Buildings and Grounds
The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is happy to announce the appointment of Amber Silver as its new director of buildings and grounds beginning July 1, 2014. She will succeed Beth Rowland who announced her retirement earlier this year.
Silver has an extensive career in buildings, grounds, and management. She has been with MRH for the past nine years serving as the assistant and primary backup to the current director of buildings of grounds. Her years at MRH have included extended work in maintenance, transportation, construction management, and administrative/staff management.
Before coming to MRH, Silver held multiple retail management positions in the St. Louis area. She attended St. Louis Community College, is certified as an asbestos inspector and asbestos management planner, and a member of the Greater St. Louis Area School Plant Mangers Association.
“It’s always wonderful when we can recognize and promote an existing staff member who has proven their expertise, leadership, and dedication to MRH,” said Superintendent Karen I. Hall. “Amber’s years with the District and extensive knowledge of our campuses will be invaluable as we work with our parents and community to find solutions to our rapidly increasing student enrollment.”
Silver was appointed after an extensive search involving parents, teachers, and district administrators.
