MRH Hosts Google Summit
This past weekend, Maplewood Richmond Heights hosted the Google Apps for Education Summit in the Middle School/High School building on Saturday October 4, 2014. More than 300 educators attended the seminar and actively participated in the many breakout sessions.
Google Apps for Education is a suite of free, secure tools that includes Gmail, Calendar, Sites and Documents used for collaboration, communication and learning within schools.
The Summit was organized entirely by Google Certified teachers in the region, which included MRH’s very own Daniel Reeve, Middle School Assistant Principal. Several of the breakout sessions were led by MRH staff from across the District. Michael Dittrich along Chris Hoelzer and David Grossman lead the Chromebook Think Tank Session. Through these sessions the guest were able to see the dedication of the District’s technology initiatives and the interactive learning present with each student through Google.
