Carlton Brooks Resigns as CFO at MRH School District
The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District announces the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Carlton Brooks, effective November 3, 2014. Brooks, who joined MRH in February 2013, is leaving to pursue other interests.
The District will begin the process of seeking a replacement to fill this vacancy. A committee, comprised of parents, staff, and administrators, will be formed to review applicants and select the new chief financial officer.
In the interim period, the finance department will be led by Dr. Charles D. Farris who has a long and successful history of providing financial advisory services to a number of school districts in the St. Louis area. Dr. Farris has served as Chief Financial Officer in the School District of University City as well as Interim CFO in the Bayless, Ladue, Mehlville and Riverview Gardens School Districts. In addition, he was the Board President and then the Interim Superintendent at Special School District. Dr. Farris is currently the CEO of BAFC Consulting. He possesses a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University.

Hall. “We are fortunate to have Dr. Farris available to lead the department in this interim period and maintain the strong financial foundation of the MRH School District.”
