Middle School Raises Awareness for Annie’s Hope
On November 20, 2014, Middle School students were encouraged to wear blue to school to show support for a local organization. One of the seventh grade students, Jason Dodson, along with his family recently helped record some radio spots alongside Rams football player, Chris Long. The radio spots were recorded to help support Annie’s Hope, a bereavement center for children. In support of students that have lost a parent, the Middle School wore blue to raise awareness to the organization. The radio spots will air on the following stations.

After hearing about this, both High School and the Elementary School joined in and participated and wore blue as well.
“We want to thank Jason and his family for showing positive citizenship within the community. His advocacy in the program stems from helping other students throughout the District who have lost a parent. As a school, we were delighted to stand with them in unity and wear blue to show our support. I am always proud of my students when they exhibit these types of actions and show that they are becoming young leaders within their worlds,” said Michael Dittrich, Middle School Principal.
