Middle School Goes on College Visits
This year, all eighth grade students will visit numerous campuses throughout the Saint Louis Area. All students will be exposed to technical schools, community colleges, and four-year universities both public and private. We understand that all students will take different pathways in life and want to maximize the exposure for all our students.
Thursday of this week our eighth grade students began their visits for educational opportunities as they move through high school and beyond. On Thursday students’ expeditions took them to Ranken Technical College and South County Technical High School. South County Tech’s mission is to provide quality technical and academic education, which prepares students for entry into postsecondary education and/or the workforce. As students move through the program they also focus on entrepreneurship and community service in fields such as computer aided drafting, heating and cooling, law enforcement, and engineering.
Students also visited Ranken Technical College, which is a private, non-profit, degree-granting institution of higher learning whose primary mission is to provide the comprehensive education and training necessary to prepare students for employment and advancement in a variety of technical fields.
