MRH ECC Farmer's Market
On Friday, May 13, 2016 from 8:30-11:00am on the ECC Playground (2801 Oakland) Maplewood Richmond Heights Early Childhood Center will be hosting its annual Farmer’s Market.
The Farmer's Market is a culminating project for first grade students that combines what they have learned in Seed-to-Table and in their economics unit. In collaboration with the Middle School, students plant crops and produce things for sale, apply for jobs, and work at the market.
The funds raised support the Seed-to-Table programs at ECC and the Middle School. Proceeds from the market and additional donations allowed MRH to purchase three Tower Gardens that have been producing organic vegetables for our students every week, even through the winter!
Coin donations at the lemonade stand are donated to Heifer International. Last year ECC donated $300 for a Gift of Water to children who did not have access to clean water in their neighborhood.
Items for purchase include plants, crafts, cookies, seeds, cookbooks, aprons, etc.
Flyer and price list are attached.
