South County Tech Donates to MRH
Maplewood Richmond Heights High School has partnered with South County Technical High School in a number of ways. Eligible high school students can attend South County Tech during the day to perfect a certain trade/field that they are interested in. This can include welding, firefighting, cosmetology with close to 20 other options and occupations.
The career and technical education programs at South Tech provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to walk into St. Louis’s fastest growing occupations.
Recently, an engineering class at South County Tech designed and constructed a bike rack. The bike rack was in turn donated to MRH at the Middle School/High School campus outside in the commons. One MRH student, who also attends South County Tech was in the class that made the bike rack.
“I am very proud of all of our students that work extremely hard everyday at their passion and craft and have in turn done so in a way that gives back to their community. We are excited to partner with South County Tech on an everyday basis but we are especially grateful for this kind act” said Michael Dittrich, Middle School Principal.
