Six MRHE Teachers Take Part in "St. Louis's Biggest Office Party"
While many of us were home shaking off the cobwebs of the day, six ambitious teachers from the Maplewood Richmond Heights Elementary School were lacing up their shoes Thursday night for what's become downtown St. Louis's newest networking event.
The "Biz Dash 5K," in its second year, brought local businesses and their employees together to celebrate our community, build team camaraderie and promote a healthy, active lifestyle. While the main focus is the 5K run/walk, the event also included a post-race tailgate party where participants got a chance to enjoy themselves and mingle with other groups.
Proudly representing the MRH School District team were Rachel Howard, Lauren Alspach ("It was super fun to run along the riverfront!"), Sarah Schondelmeyer, Layne Thompson, Mary Darst, and selfie expert Dan Harmon.
The event, billed as "St. Louis's Biggest Office Party," took runners and walkers along a route stretching from Ballpark Village, along Market and Chestnut Streets, through Laclede's Landing, and along Sullivan Boulevard between the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River.
