MRH Students Get First-Hand Lesson in the Legislative Branch of Government
The MRH High School Youth and Government (YAG) club participated this past weekend in the 71st annual YMCA YAG conference. Students participated in a mock Missouri State government legislative session in the House of Representatives. Two Maplewood bills were passed by their committees and one made it to the floor for debate. That's two MRH bills out of a total of 167+ bills written by students from across the state! Students even got to meet the Governor with an impromptu visit in the House while the MRH bill was being debated. Please congratulate the students who participated: Andrew McCandliss, Chloe Brown, John Tobin, Leah Dickerson-Crump, Max Cusick, Stasya Juracsik, Tamar Crump, Aidan Flynn, and Ty Johnson.
