Owner of Long-Lost Class Ring Finally Gets It Back
It doesn't fit as well as it used to, but Joseph Scott doesn't care about that.
Scott had this ring stolen during a burglary 30 years ago at his home along Hampton Avenue in St Louis. Scott, who graduated with the Class of '80, says burglars filled a pillow case with valuables during the break-in, including a VCR and some jewelry. His class ring was sitting atop a dresser. They snatched it, too.
Just before the 2018 holiday break, an anonymous couple walked into the MRH High School office and turned it over, with no explanation of how or when they'd found it. The MRH alumni network, using social media channels, got busy tracking him down.
On January 2, Scott drove up from his home in Jefferson County, with granddaughter in-tow, to claim it.
Incidentally, this isn't the first time that the MRH communications office has been involved in a ring reunion.
