MRH Chemistry Teacher Named to Top National Position
Congratulations to Kathleen Dwyer who has been elected to the governing board of the American Association of Chemistry Teachers. This national organization is a professional community for K-12 teachers of chemistry.
Dwyer will serve as the representative supporting chemistry teachers at the high school level. She admits that because of COVID-19, “It will be very challenging to teach chemistry this school year. This subject is centered on lab experiences and collaborative activities. I look forward to working with a national group that will help everyone share ideas and resources.Together, we can provide the best instruction possible in this unusual environment.”
Dwyer was the 2015-16 MRH District Teacher of the Year. She received the 2015 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Dwyer was a participant in the 2018 Japan-U.S. Teacher Exchange Program for Education for Sustainable Development.
