MRH Middle School Principal Earns Doctorate
Is there a doctor in the house? Why, yes, there is.
Following his dissertation defense this morning before the Education Faculty at Lindenwood University, MRH Middle School principal Mike Dittrich is now Mike Dittrich, DOCTOR OF EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP! His dissertation was titled "Study of Preservice Teachers' Preparation for Differentiated Instruction: Investigating Data for Secondary Teacher Candidates in One Research University." In it, Dr. Dittrich builds the case that students learn their unique and specialized effects on the world through experimental, intentional and unconventional approaches to learning. That has always been the way MRH Middle School operates, by getting learners out of the classroom and into the environment where they can better understand and witness their individual impacts on their surroundings via the Expeditionary model.
We congratulate Dr. Michael Dittrich on the conclusion of his doctoral studies. Forty years of formal education really flies by.
"I'm going to celebrate by spending some time with my family tonight," said Dr. Dittrich, "to begin making up for all the time I spent working on this degree over the last couple of years."
Maybe it's a good thing that the Lindenwood Education faculty conducted the defense presentation from the waist up, via Zoom video conference.
