It wasn't necessarily one of her "goooooooals," but MRH 7-12 vocal music teacher Nadia Maddex, in her first year as a Blue Devil, has been tapped to perform the national anthem at an upcoming STL City SC soccer match. She learned that news on Friday after auditioning several weeks ago.

Nadia, who describes herself more as a baseball fanatic but a sports lover in general, will belt out the "Star Spangled Banner" at the April 15 contest versus FC Cincinnati. It won't be her first performance on a major stage. Nadia has performed at numerous graduations and with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
