MRH Administrative Offices Relocating
The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District administrative offices will be relocating to a site closer to the main campus.
MRH has acquired an existing office complex which will accommodate the needs of leading a district of our caliber and to respond to the requirements of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. It will also allow the District to convert current offices within school buildings into additional learning spaces. The complex, on South Big Bend Boulevard one-fifth mile north of Manchester Road, also includes ample parking and greater accessibility for members of the public and for District employees.
The new Central Office location, at approximately 9,000 square feet, will provide space for private offices, employee work rooms and Board of Education meetings. The new site features ground-level entry for easy public access. Details on the relocation date are forthcoming.
When voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition E in June 2020, it became necessary for the MRH Central Office administrative team to quickly vacate its space within the main campus at 7539 Manchester Road in order to facilitate construction of new Middle School classrooms and offices. The District identified an immediate solution, leasing office space at 2650 S. Hanley Road. The Hanley location, while filling an immediate need, was never intended to become a long-term solution to our administrative needs.
Purchasing rather than leasing prevents the District from occupying a space which it doesn’t own and is fiscally prudent in the long term. Utilizing the services of Clarity Street @ STL Buy & Sell Realtors, the MRH School District was able to purchase this property at nearly 20% below the listed price.
We are grateful to the MRH Board of Education for approving the plan to turn this property into an asset for the taxpayers, families, students and staff of MRH.
