“Honoring Our History” was on full view Saturday, September 28 at 1325 Boland Place in Richmond Heights, as former students and educators gathered to fondly remember their time spent at two yesteryear MRH schools. West Richmond and A.B. Green Schools once stood on ground which today is Altair at the Heights, an upscale apartment community. A former West Richmond student, Carmen Pace-McFerren, organized Saturday’s event at an Altair recreational room. It was equal parts commemoration and reunion, as graduates shared warm memories of caring communities and tough-love teachers. This video provides a timeline of the schools' history as compiled by Ms. Pace-McFerren and recounted by current Richmond Heights mayor Reginald Finney and others.
