The Missouri State Champion MRH Mock Trial team traveled to Phoenix, AZ, to compete against the champions from 48 states and territories at the High School Mock Trial National Championships. The MRH team finished with a two-win, two two-loss record, dropping in trials against California and Oklahoma, who both finished in the top 10.

The team competed in courtrooms of the Maricopa County Superior Court in downtown Phoenix. Trial court judges from Arizona and across the country evaluated the students in 3-hour trials.

The MRH team featured Enzo Gilbonio, Vara Pantazis, and Jack Funke as lawyers. Odessa Javier, Dakota Colbert, Graham Colvin, Lucy Schmidt, Chance Terelmes, and Jo Kaplan served as witnesses. Varsity team members Kaelyn Kalagian and Daniel Matz joined the trial team to provide research support. The team is coached by Head Coach Rich McCollum and attorney advisors Jenny Schmidt, Nelson Mitten, and Gina Mitten.
