    Upon graduating from Farmington, MO. High School, Ms. Martinez spent four years in the Air Force. After the military, she found herself in special education where she worked as a teacher in Missouri, in the Alaskan bush, and on Native American reservations in North Dakota before returning to Missouri and seeking out a degree in School Psychology through the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She spent five years working as a School Psychologist in the St. Louis Public School District before taking a position in the Special School District, where she currently works.

    Ms. Martinez has two children; one is a 2021 graduate of the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District and one will be a senior next year.
